Our doors are open.

​Our doors remain open for services by appointment only. We offer both in person and virtual therapy sessions. Virtual therapy sessions may be covered by your insurance plan.

If you are unable to complete the Registration Form or have any questions, please call our office at 810-225-9550 or ​email us. Emily, our Engagement and Administrative Specialist, is available in the office Mondays 10am-4pm, Wednesdays 12pm-8pm, and Thursdays 9am-11am. She works remote Tuesdays 4:30pm-6:30pm, Thursdays 4:30pm-6:30pm, and Fridays 1pm-5pm.

Karen Bergbower & Associates, PC (KBA) is a prevention, assessment, counseling, and consulting group based in Brighton, Michigan. KBA provides counseling for mental health, substance use, trauma, and other life issues. KBA is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Substance Use Disorder program (License #SA0470092) to provide substance use assessment, prevention, and outpatient treatment. 

In addition to providing services at our office in Brighton, KBA provides prevention services in Livingston, Washtenaw, Lenawee, and Monroe counties. The following is a brief overview of the services we provide.

Outpatient Counseling
KBA provides quality and professional counseling and related services for people dealing with substance use, addiction, stress, life change, trauma, or other personal issues. KBA services are provided in a safe, caring, and respectful environment with the goal of “working together for health and well-being”.

Assessment
KBA is a recognized leader in providing thorough and accurate assessment services. From screening services for school districts to in depth substance use evaluations for the Michigan Department of Secretary of State Driver License Appeal Division, KBA has the ability and experience to provide the assessment you need.

Prevention 
As an experienced prevention agency, KBA strives to find and implement the most effective and proven prevention programs available. Prevention professionals within the agency have been implementing evidence based initiatives (EBIs) for several years. In addition, KBA continues to develop new programming to meet community needs and fill service gaps.
