Outpatient Counseling

Outpatient counseling is available for people dealing with substance use, addiction, stress, anxiety, life change, trauma, or other personal issues. A treatment plan will be based on each individual’s needs and may include a combination of services. Frequency and length of treatment are determined by the accomplishment of mutually established treatment goals.

Individual Counseling
One-to-one sessions  with a therapist who specializes in the treatment of the specific problem or problems of the individual.

Family and Couples Counseling
Sessions with a therapist to help families and couples understand and improve their interactions with each other, resolve conflicts, and learn how to build and maintain healthy, loving, and respectful relationships.

Classes
Led by trained therapists, these classes are a space where you and others with similar interests can learn and practice relevant skills. These can be completed independently, or as a supplement to other therapy services.

Group Counseling
Groups generally meet once a week for 90 minutes and are problem specific in nature. A therapist who is qualified and experienced in a specific problem area facilitates each group.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment
KBA is fully licensed by the State of Michigan to provide outpatient substance use treatment. A comprehensive assessment of each client’s individual needs is completed to determine the appropriate course of treatment, which may include a combination of individual and group sessions. Referrals to outside services may also be appropriate.
