Livingston COMMUNITY PREVENTION Project

Karen Bergbower & Associates is a collaborative partner of the Livingston COMMUNITY PREVENTION Project. Primary funding for prevention programming is from the Community Mental Health Partnership of Southeast Michigan and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Recovery Oriented Systems of Care, Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Section.

​Goals:
The Livingston COMMUNITY PREVENTION Project (LCPP) was formed in 2008 to provide substance use disorder prevention services throughout Livingston County. LCPP provides an array of prevention services that target all sectors of Livingston County, including youth, parents, schools, and community, to achieve the following goals:

  • Reduce childhood and underage drinking
  • Reduce prescription and over the counter drug abuse/misuse
  • Reduce illicit drug use.

Evidence Based Interventions:
The collaborative partners work together to implement the following evidence based interventions that have been proven to impact substance use and related problems. 
  • Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA)
  • Project SUCCESS
  • Community Based Support Groups (CBSG)
  • Youth Led Prevention
